چکیده

In West Bengal, the two most tradable species of mud crab (Scylla sp.) are available due to high market demand in local as well foreign markets. Scylla sp. is an important (ecological, nutritional, and economical) bioresource India including Bengal. Juveniles adult crabs selectively collected by coastal area common people or fisherpersons for culturing ponds traded locally internationally. Different districts’ mainly North-24 Parganas, South-24 Midnapur inextricably linked being culture that serves their alternative occupation/livelihood. Various bacteria recorded related infections. Some may transmit from humans cause gastric-related diseases septicemia transmission virulent genes microbes unsafe water then humans. Such pathogenic infections like vibriosis without proper treatment can result mass mortality The potential disease has been demonstrated a number significant variables surrounding them. Eating raw undercooked crab, ingesting other substances contaminated with infected excrement mucus, coming into touch infectious agent through open wounds contact skin scratches abrasions main sources bacterial It reported transferred consuming organisms handling more than 10%. Crab farmers, general, have less environmental awareness, scientific-based knowledge this reason, they face various types occupational hazards zoonotic septicemia. present article investigates distribution different threats, both human population.

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...

Review Article: An overview of climate change and prevalence of bacterial diseases in salmonid aquaculture

Food fish farming is regarded as one of the most important sectors of the aquaculture industry. Salmon farming is a major contributor to the growth of the aquaculture sector. Climate change is predicted to have a complex impact on aquatic ecosystems, including fisheries and aquaculture. Climate change can cause a fluctuation in water temperature of rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans. This can chan...

Diversity of arsenite oxidizing bacterial communities in arsenic-rich deltaic aquifers in West Bengal, India

High arsenic (As) concentration in groundwater has affected human health, particularly in South-East Asia putting millions of people at risk. Biogeochemical cycling of As carried out by different bacterial groups are suggested to control the As fluxes in aquifers. A functional diversity approach in link with As precipitation was adopted to study bacterial community structures and their variatio...
